Rotary or Broadcast Spreader
Rotary or broadcast spreaders are perfect for larger lawns. Broadcast spreaders will shoot the fertilizer out in an arc to the front and sides of the spreader – covering large areas. To start this process, fertilize the perimeter of the lawn first. Then, move across the inside of the lawn in a pattern to ensure that the fertilization levels are equal across the grass area.

This spreader is best for small areas or yards that require difficult maneuvering of typical spreaders. This spreader works as you walk in a straight line from one side to the other. Be sure to walk steadily and evenly to ensure the equal distribution occurs.
